RCCAOI 1/10th Nationals Round 1 – RCNI

🏁 RCCAOI 1/10th Nationals Round 1 – RCNI 🏁

Sunday 26th April saw the RCCAOI 1/10th Nationals roll into RCNI for the opening round of the championship — and what a way to start the season! 🔥

With an incredible 62 entries, it marked the biggest 1/10th scale national turnout seen in Ireland since the 90s! 🤯 The atmosphere all weekend was unreal, with packed pits, non-stop track action and some seriously close racing across every class.

The day kicked off with practice and seeding, with drivers working hard to dial their cars in as conditions changed throughout the day.

When the dust settled after seeding, it was:
⚡ Bradley Baird topping both 2WD Mod and 4WD Mod
⚡ Connor Reilly leading the way in 2WD Clubman
⚡ Youngster Adam Humphries setting the pace in 4WD Clubman

Into qualifying and the track continued to evolve, forcing drivers to constantly adapt setups and driving styles. The Mod classes remained incredibly competitive, with Bradley Baird securing TQ in both 2WD and 4WD Mod after some seriously fast runs.

The Clubman classes however had a few twists! 👀

🔥 Local youngster Joey Holden stormed his way to TQ in 2WD Clubman
🔥 Former Irish National Champion Rodney Ferguson put his Tekno on pole in 4WD Clubman

With qualifying complete, the stage was set for finals time! 🚨

The finals absolutely delivered.

Close battles, intense pressure and drivers fighting for every inch of track made for incredible racing throughout the day. Several classes needed Leg 3 deciders to separate the podium positions, keeping everyone on edge right to the final race! 😮
